Which Android Tab Should You Buy ?

Android LCD for Your Car: 8227, A100, T100, A133 and T133 Compared

Two Android LCD screens for your car can look almost identical on the shelf and still sit at very different prices, because the real difference is inside the unit. It comes down to the processor platform, the RAM, the storage and the rest of the hardware.

At SehgalMotors.pk we sell universal Android LCD tabs in five versions, and this guide explains what separates them so you can spend your money where it counts.

Quick specification comparison

Android LCD RAM + storage Display CarPlay Range
T133 4GB + 64GB IPS Yes Top tier
A133 4GB + 64GB IPS Yes Top tier
T100 2GB + 32GB IPS Yes Mid range
A100 2GB + 32GB IPS Yes Standard
8227 2GB + 32GB IPS Yes Economy

Display and CarPlay details apply to the versions we currently offer, but specs can change between production versions, so check the listing for the exact unit you're buying.

T133 4GB/64GB, the top of our range

The T133 sits at the top of our current universal Android LCD range. Its 4GB of RAM gives Android more memory to run apps and navigation alongside your music. And the 64GB of storage is double what the 32GB units carry, which leaves far more room for apps and offline content.

If you use your car's screen a lot, start here.

A133 4GB/64GB, the other 4GB option

The A133 also comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, so it sits in the same top tier as the T133.

Keep one thing in mind with Android head units. The model name doesn't tell the whole story, because hardware and firmware can differ between makers and production batches. Compare the actual specs rather than picking whichever number sounds newer.

T100 2GB/32GB, the middle ground

The T100 is a sensible middle option. Our listed version still has an IPS display and CarPlay. Inside, it runs on 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

It suits drivers who want navigation, music, Bluetooth and a touchscreen every day but don't need a 4GB/64GB system.

A100 2GB/32GB, for everyday use

The A100 is another 2GB/32GB unit made for normal daily use. If CarPlay, music, calls and maps are what you want from the screen, you may not need to pay for more RAM and storage.

8227 2GB/32GB, the budget pick

The 8227 is our value option. It gives you the main Android LCD functions at a lower price.

So if your needs are simple and the budget matters more than heavy multitasking, it still makes good sense.

Which one should you buy?

Don't pick an Android LCD by the biggest model number alone. Match it to how you actually use the screen.

If you... Our advice
want basic multimedia on a lower budget Start with the 8227.
use the screen daily and want a step up Compare the A100 and T100.
want 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage Look at the A133 and T133.
mostly use CarPlay, music and calls A 2GB/32GB unit may be all you need.

The screen and the frame are separate parts

The Android tab and your car's dashboard frame are two different parts. A universal 9 inch or 10 inch tab needs the right frame (also called the main grip) for your particular car. That means you can choose the screen specification you want first, then pair it with the dashboard fitting that suits your car.

How to order the right setup

  1. Note your car's make and model, plus the year.
  2. Check which screen size your dashboard takes, 9 inch or 10 inch.
  3. Choose the frame or main grip made for your car.
  4. Pick the Android LCD version that matches how you use the screen.
  5. Have it fitted by an experienced installer, since the unit connects to your car's wiring.

Questions people ask us

Do all five units support CarPlay?

Yes. All the versions we currently offer support CarPlay, though specs can vary between versions, so check the listing before you order.

Is the T133 always better than the A133?

Not by name alone. Both have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and hardware and firmware can vary between makers, so compare the listed specs.

Will a universal tab fit my car?

It will with the right frame. The tab and frame are separate parts, so pick the frame made for your car and the screen size it takes.

Is 2GB of RAM enough?

For CarPlay, music, calls and navigation, a 2GB/32GB unit can be enough. If you run lots of Android apps or want more storage, look at the 4GB/64GB models.
