Upcoming Cars in Pakistan 2026-2027: 25 Models and Launch Months

Upcoming Cars in Pakistan 2026-2027

Twenty-five upcoming cars in Pakistan are lined up between October 2026 and September 2027, and almost every one of them comes from a Chinese brand. Nine are due this October alone. The last name on the list, the Jetour G700, isn't expected until September 2027.

Here's the short version. If you charge at home and drive mostly inside Lahore, keep an eye on electric models like the Geely EX5 or MG IM6. For anyone doing regular Lahore to Islamabad runs on the M-2, the plug-in hybrids and range-extenders (Denza B5, BYD Sealion 6, Geely Starray EM-R) are the safer bet.

Launch months slip. Some listings already show December for the two Denzas, for example. Treat every date here as expected, not confirmed, until the company opens bookings.

October 2026: nine launches in one month

October is crowded. Geely alone has three cars in it (EX2, EX5 and Starray EM-R), and BYD's luxury arm Denza has two. Add the Arcfox T1, GWM Cannon Alpha P500, Haval Jolion Max, Jaecoo J5 EV and Nevo Q05, and you get a month where showrooms will be competing hard for the same buyers.

That competition is good news for you. A crowded launch window usually means introductory offers and early-booking deals, and it gives you more than one test drive to compare before paying a token.

Denza B5, Denza B8 and Sealion 6: BYD's plug-in trio

Denza is BYD's premium sub-brand. It began life as a joint venture between BYD and Mercedes-Benz. BYD has already brought demo units of the B5, the B8 and the BYD Sealion 6 into Pakistan, and reports say the plan is to assemble them locally.

All three are plug-in hybrids, not pure EVs. Battery sizes tell you a lot: 31.7 kWh in the Denza B5, 36.8 kWh in the B8, and 18.3 kWh in the Sealion 6.

Under the B5's bonnet sits a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine paired with an electric motor. Its bigger sibling, the B8, uses a 2.0-litre turbo hybrid setup. Both Denzas are aimed at people shopping in Tank 500 or Hyundai Palisade territory, while the Sealion 6 goes after the mainstream crossover crowd.

Range-extenders: Geely Starray EM-R and the Nevo cars

A range-extender (REEV) drives the wheels with an electric motor only. The petrol engine is there to make electricity when the battery runs low.

The Geely Starray EM-R had its world premiere in Thailand on 13 August 2026. It uses a 1.5-litre petrol engine as a generator and is rated for 104.8 km on battery alone (NEDC). For a daily DHA to Gulberg commute and back, that is a lot of headroom before the engine ever starts. At 4,750 mm long, it's also a bigger SUV than the name suggests.

Nevo is Changan's new-energy brand. Changan Pakistan teased it in August 2026 with a "Coming Soon" video. The A06 is a 4,885 mm sedan sold in China in both full electric and range-extended versions, and the Q07 SUV runs a 1.5-litre engine in its range-extended form. Which versions reach Pakistan hasn't been confirmed yet, and that detail matters more than the badge.

The electric-only names on the list

Several cars here are battery electric: the GAC Aion ES sedan, the Arcfox T1, Geely EX2 and EX5, the Jaecoo J5 EV, and MG's IM5 sedan and IM6 SUV.

These suit a buyer with a parking spot and a home charger. A family that drives Lahore to Murree twice a year will feel the lack of fast chargers on the way much more than someone whose longest regular trip is Johar Town to Model Town.

Tank 300, Jetour G700 and the off-road crowd

Another big group on this list is built for rough roads. GWM's boxy Tank 300 leads it. The Deepal G318 is Changan's take on the same idea, and the Jetour G700 sits at the top of the size range.

Pickup buyers get the GWM Cannon Alpha P500 in October and the Cannon P300 in November. If you've been waiting on a Hilux Revo replacement, those two are the ones to watch.

Which upcoming car should you wait for?

Wait for the Geely EX5 or Jaecoo J5 EV if your driving stays inside the city and you can charge overnight.

Do a lot of motorway trips? Look at the Denza B5 or BYD Sealion 6, where petrol backs up the battery.

Need seven seats or real size? The Denza B8, Deepal S09 and Jaecoo J8 are the family haulers in this batch.

Planning on the Jetour G700? It's almost a year away, so don't sell your current car yet.

At SehgalMotors.PK, we'll stock accessories for each of these cars once they launch: floor mats, covers and the rest. Check back after your booking and we'll have them listed.
