Before fitting, check the shape of the vehicle and existing part as trim level and previous repairs may have an impact on compatibility.

What It Is and How It Works

The combination of a vehicle shaped installation of the dashboard and a touch-display format, is called Toyota Fortuner Tesla LCD Black 11 Inches 2016 - 2021. The screen is placed in the same location as the original audio system, so there's a bit more to consider than just the car name, which is the choice of the dashboard shape, screen size and wiring setup.

Materials and Build

Toyota Fortuner Tesla LCD Black 11 Inches 2016 - 2021 is supplied with 11 Inches, 2016 - 2021, Black. Inspect casing or visible finish, edge and connector/mounting prior to use. There are no assumptions to be made for an unstated base material, the appropriate choice should be made based on the information provided in the listing for the size, colour, quantity and fitment.

Key Benefits

•   Places navigation, media and supported phone functions in a dashboard sized screen.
•   N narrows down their choice of dashboard using the specified screen size and vehicle fitment.N chooses the dashboard that is most suitable from a number of available options, based on the measured screen size and the fitment of the vehicle.
•   Does not mount the display on a freestanding tablet mount – keeps the display in the centre console zone.
•   Supplies an alternative factory audio layout in cases where the wiring and fascia are identical.

When to Buy or Replace It

Toyota Fortuner Tesla LCD Black 11 Inches 2016 2021 - Opt for it if the present centre display or audio layout is to be replaced and the shape of the dashboard is fixed. Before suspecting the display, inspect wiring and power when sound is cut out, buttons don't function or the screen resets.

Buying Considerations

The confirmation is based on the exact Toyota Fortuner Tesla LCD shape, trim level and mounting area matching the product images – not just the registration year if the car is fitted with a replacement LCD or with an imported specification. Will not guarantee steering controls, factory camera, amplifier or CANBUS retention if required interfaces are not present. The fitter should measure the plug and depth of the main plug before removing the dashboard.

Installation or Use Guide

•   Unplug the negative battery cable when taking off the dashboard.
•   Use non-marking tools to cut away all the trimming around the clips and ensure that they are kept tidy.
•   Check the dimensions of the new screen, fascia, main plug and available depth with the original opening.
•   Make necessary connections with harnesses without cutting the factory wiring where an adaptor is available.
•   Test sound, touch controls, camera input and supported steering functions prior to fitting trim.
•   Secure unit, route cables away from sharp objects and reinstall dashboard panels.

The expensive error is fitting the dashboard before testing all of the supported functions, and then fixing the loose plug later which requires a re-fitting of the trim.
