PPF stands for paint protection film: a clear or coloured TPU film that takes the stone chips, light scratches, swirl marks, bird-dropping stains and sun fading that would otherwise reach your factory paint. We import Maximus film directly, and our own installers have fitted it on more than 20,000+ cars.

We fit PPF on cars and other four-wheel vehicles only. Motorbikes aren't covered.

What our car PPF service includes

Clear PPF and coloured PPF

Clear PPF keeps your car's original colour and puts an almost invisible layer over it, which is the usual choice for a new car. Coloured PPF changes the colour of the car and protects the paint in the same layer, so you get a new look without a respray, and the original paint is still underneath when the film comes off.

Maximus is a TPU film. TPU stays flexible in Pakistan's summer heat and its self-healing top coat lets fine marks fade when the panel warms up in the sun. That's the main difference from cheap PVC and TPH films, which harden, yellow and crack within months.

Full-car clear PPF at SehgalMotors.PK starts from Rs. 130,000. The final figure for your car depends on how much film it needs and how long it takes to fit, so a Suzuki Alto sits at the lower end, while a Toyota Fortuner or Land Cruiser costs more because of its size. PPF for your car model

A full-car job is the same Maximus film and the same one-day fitting on every model. What changes from car to car is the amount of film, the time spent on bumpers and vents, and so the price.

Hatchbacks: Suzuki Alto, Swift and Wagon R

Small hatchbacks use the least film of any car we fit, so they sit at the bottom of our price range. For a car that's parked on the street and driven through city traffic every day, full-car film covers the doors and bumpers that pick up most of the contact.

Sedans: Honda City, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and Yaris

Sedans sit in the middle of the price range. Motorway driving between cities throws gravel at the bonnet and front bumper, and a full-car job covers those panels along with the roof, doors and boot.

SUVs and pickups: Toyota Fortuner, Hilux and Land Cruiser, Haval H6, Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, MG HS, Changan Oshan X7, Honda BR-V and HR-V

Larger bodies mean more film and more fitting time, which puts SUVs and pickups at the upper end of the price range. Dark-coloured SUVs show swirl marks and sun fading fastest, so they gain the most from film.

Electric and hybrid cars, including BYD

Electric and hybrid cars get the same full-car Maximus PPF and the same one-day fitting as any other car, including BYD models such as the Shark.

PPF vs ceramic coating, car wrap and "lamination"

PPF is a physical film that stops chips and scratches. Ceramic coating is a liquid that adds gloss and makes washing easier but won't stop a stone chip, and many owners put ceramic on top of their PPF to get both. A vinyl car wrap mainly changes the car's colour, while coloured PPF changes the colour and protects the paint at the same time.

In Pakistan, people often call any protective film on a car "lamination". The word gets used for cheap PVC sheets as well as for genuine PPF, so when a shop quotes you for lamination, ask what material the film is. Genuine PPF is TPU.

How to spot fake PPF

SehgalMotors.PK points out that all PPF sold in Pakistan, genuine film included, is made in China. If a box or label says it's made in the USA, or carries an American flag, a fake company is behind it. Before any installer starts, ask to see the roll and its batch details, and check that the film is TPU rather than PVC or TPH.

How we fit PPF

Your car is fitted indoors, in a dust-managed studio, by our own installers, which keeps dust specks from getting trapped under the film. The paint is inspected first, because repainted or weak panels need to be pointed out before any film goes on. You take an aftercare kit home, and the car comes back for a check at 10 days, so an edge that has started to lift gets fixed early.

• We fit PPF to the full car only. Single panels and front kits aren't available.
• Clear PPF comes in a gloss finish only, with no matte or satin option.
• PPF protects paint from new damage. It doesn't repair chips, deep scratches or poor repaint work that's already there.
• On repainted or weak panels, removing the film later can lift the paint.

Questions people ask us

What is the full form of PPF in cars?

PPF stands for paint protection film, a clear or coloured film fitted over a car's paint to protect it from chips, scratches and sun fading.

Is TPU PPF good for cars in Pakistan?

Yes. TPU is the material genuine PPF is made from, because it stays flexible in heat and doesn't yellow the way PVC and TPH films do. Maximus, the film we fit, is TPU.

Does PPF stop all scratches?

No. It takes light scratches, swirl marks and stone chips, but a hard impact or a deep key scratch can still cut through the film.

Can PPF be removed?

Yes. On healthy factory paint, genuine film lifts cleanly when it's warmed and peeled back by a trained installer. Old counterfeit film and repainted panels carry more risk, so removal is a job for the studio.

Do you fit PPF on motorbikes?
