The Maximus Heavy Duty Extreme Pressure Washer with Foam Cannon is a combo of the 1500W, 220V Maximus electric car washer, rated up to 130 bar, and a foam cannon, so you can foam the car and rinse it with the same machine. The washer runs on a copper motor with a brass pump head, and the parts inside are brass and aluminium under a yellow plastic top body.

The cannon is where your shampoo goes. It attaches to the spray gun and turns the shampoo into thick foam that sits on the paint and loosens dirt before you rinse, which means less scrubbing with a mitt. Auto-stop switches the motor off as soon as you let go of the trigger, and the washer draws water from a tap or straight from a bucket, so you can wash in a porch or parking area that has a socket but no tap. Setting up and using it

No tools are needed. Assemble the gun, gun pipe and hoses, plug the washer into a 220V wall socket and drop the inlet hose into a bucket filled with clean water. Shampoo only ever goes in the cannon bottle, never in the bucket, because soap in the inlet water runs through the pump.

Always have water in the inlet before you switch on. Starting the washer dry traps air inside the pump and the spray will sputter or lose pressure. Run it for 3 to 4 minutes, then give it a 5 minute rest, and drain all the water out of the machine when you finish.

Before you order

• It needs a 5 minute rest after every 3 to 4 minutes of spraying, so it isn't meant to run non-stop.
• Use cold water only. Hot water is not supported.
• The power cable is short (2 to 4 ft), so the machine has to sit close to the socket.
• The gun has no safety lock.
• Keep a distance from the paint, keep the jet away from PPF edges, and don't spray newer engines that have exposed sensors.
• If you only need the washer, it is also sold on its own without the foam cannon.

How many cars can it wash at one time?

About 5 cars in one go, as long as you stick to the 3 to 4 minute run and 5 minute rest cycle.

Why is the spray sputtering or the pressure low?

Air is trapped in the pump, usually because the washer was switched on before water reached it. Fill the inlet hose with water, then keep pressing the gun trigger while the washer runs. The trapped air pushes out through the gun and full pressure comes back.
